Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

RydoShare operates the route-overlap marketplace available at rydoshare.com and through the RydoShare mobile app. References to "we", "our" or "RydoShare" mean the entity operating the Platform. For DPDP purposes, we are the Data Fiduciary.

2. Data we collect

2.1 When you register

• Mobile number — used for account identity and OTP authentication.
• Name and profile photo — displayed to matched partners/requesters.

2.2 When you verify as a partner

• Aadhaar number and PAN number — for identity verification only. Not stored after verification is complete.
• Vehicle details — registration, make, model and photo.

2.3 During a trip

• Location data — real-time GPS during active trips, shared with your matched partner/requester for tracking and safety.
• Trip metadata — route, distance, fare, timestamps.
• Chat messages — in-app messages scoped to the trip; not accessible after the trip ends.

2.4 Payment data

Payment card and bank details are processed by Razorpay and are never stored on our servers. We receive only a transaction confirmation and last 4 digits for display.

2.5 Device and usage data

Device type, OS version, app version, push notification token, and anonymised usage analytics to improve the app.

3. How we use your data

• Matching you with partners or requesters on overlapping routes.
• Processing payments and payouts.
• Providing live tracking and safety features (SOS).
• Verifying partner identity and eligibility.
• Calculating trust and fraud scores.
• Sending trip notifications and in-app messages.
• Complying with legal obligations.

4. Data sharing

We share your data only with:

• Your match — name, photo, vehicle details, and live location during an active trip.
• Razorpay — for payment processing.
• Infrastructure providers (hosting, cloud storage) under data processing agreements.
• Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect safety.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data for advertising purposes.

5. Data retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active.
• Trip history: 2 years from trip date.
• Location data: deleted 48 hours after trip completion.
• Chat messages: deleted 30 days after trip completion.
• Aadhaar/PAN: deleted immediately after verification is confirmed.

6. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account.
• Grievance redressal — contact our Data Protection Officer.
• Nominate a nominee to exercise these rights on your behalf.

7. Security

We use TLS encryption for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, and industry-standard access controls. We conduct periodic security reviews. No system is 100% secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to info@rydoshare.com.

8. Children

The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the account promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The latest version is always available at rydoshare.com/privacy.
